Ministry Leader Sabbatical
Throughout the state of Missouri, men and women are just beginning their very first school year as Lutheran educators. It’s a time of great joy and—just maybe—a little uncertainty. We’re thrilled to have them serving in our district and would like to do what we can to support them on their new career path.
For this reason, all first-year Lutheran educators are being invited to the 2017 New Teacher Retreat in October at Camp Windermere in Roach, MO. This overnight event will be a time of learning about the district, relationship building and networking with other new teachers, and—most importantly—an opportunity to be strengthened and encouraged by God’s Word.
You can thank these new educators for selecting this noble vocation and even walk alongside them on this new journey through your prayers and gifts. Offerings given to this retreat will provide (per attendee):
A new teacher retreat is an investment in both the leader and those they will eventually lead. By supporting these men and women early in their careers as Lutheran educators, we’ll help get them on a path for success in future years. Our prayer is that God will use this retreat to begin building the solid foundation necessary in strong, faithful LCMS servants who will go on to educate and witness to the future of our church body.
Invitations have already been extended to these new educators. The retreat will begin on Friday, October 28, and conclude the following day. Participants will then return to their communities to continue their service with a renewed sense of purpose and equipped with additional knowledge and resources.
Thank you for supporting the
